The machine, 2D cutting head type VJW C-80 was developed by Resato and can be used for both pure water cutting and abrasive cutting applications. The design of the device entails just two wear parts, the water nozzle and the abrasive tube. The mixing chamber is noted for its durability. This machine is pre-aligned and it is quite easy to replace the water nozzle and the abrasive tube. As the operator doesn’t have to use any special tools, the time spent for replacing the worn out parts is quite minimal. Resato has also developed electronic feeder EF to deliver optimal cutting quality at minimum abrasive usage. There is facility for closely monitoring the pressure in the feeder and in the mixing chamber during waterjet cutting operations. This way, only a very limited and regulated volume of air is allowed to pass.
