Versa 20

 

The Versa 20 is a standalone version of a versatile cuvette holder for absorbance measurements mounted on a simple base with a hole pattern for attachment to an optical breadboard. With optical ports on each side of the cuvette, use the Versa 20 for absorbance measurements or other experiments in which laser beams or other light is passed through the cuvette from one side to the other. The Versa 20 is ideal for work in the biological range of 0 °C to 110 °C, either to observe absorbance spectra at precisely maintained temperatures, or for temperature ramping, to observe how absorbance changes with temperature. To work at cold temperatures, purchase a Windowed Jacket, purge with dry gas and work down to -40 °C. For even more demanding work, purchase the extended temperature option and run the Versa 20 up to 150 °C or down to below -40 °C. The lowest effective temperature for working with the Versa 20 will depend on the conditions in the laboratory and how well the cuvette holder isolated from the ambient environment.
