The weld heads manufactured by Quickclamp are suitable for reproducing all the precise motions of a skilled manual GTAW welder. Note that both models are designed specifically for multipass pipe welding applications and can produce welds consistently, meeting the most stringent standards in terms of code quality. The item is used with a Pipemaster Power Source, which makes the welds improve productivity by increasing the duty cycle, reducing the repair rates and producing welds of consistent quality.

The weld head is simply slipped over the pipe and clamped with a toggle lever. The continuously adjustable clamp can eliminate the need to interchange components. The wide V-block clamp self centers ensures that the head is squarely mounted relative to the joint. Note that the weld head mounts on one side of the joint entirely, which allows the use for pipe-to-fitting welds.
