锗(Ge)是一种相对较硬的红外透射材料,可阻挡紫外线和可见光,并可透射2µm以上的红外,平均透射率为45%。Ge通常具有7-14µm的DLC/AR涂层,平均透射率为83%,或者3-12µm的AR/AR涂层的平均反射率小于5%。Ge由于其高折射率和低光学色散而被期望用于透镜设计。
