The VF-169 Series has been the “workhorse” of the long stroke feedthroughs for over 40 years. Designed as a low cost option for visual positioning, it is not intended for applications requiring very controlled or precise movement.
The VFC Series of feedthroughs features a multi-patented design which includes Rare Earth (Samarium Cobalt) magnets totally encapsulated in a stainless steel housing for UHV use. This series of magnetically coupled transfer devices are more precise and smoother operating than the lower cost Alnico® magnet feedthroughs.
