Purpose:
This membrane filtration unit is designed to operate a 30cm2 flat membrane module at pressures
up to 50 bar. Any polymeric flat membrane can be used.
The cross-flow over the membrane is maintained by a special magnetic stirrer in the membrane
module. A HPLC-Pump feeds the solution to be treated and builds up the pressure. The overflow
of solution goes back to the feed vessel through a spring loaded pressure regulating valve. The
operating limits are 1 - 50 bar and 0 - 60°C.
MiniMem system Includes:
· HPLC feed pump
· membrane module for 75mm diameter flat sheet polymer membranes. With special magnetic
stirrer and stirrer drive. Heat exchanger.
· Detector for rpm measurement of the magnetic stirrer drive of the membrane module
· Feed vessel: external glass bottle
· Magnetic stirrer drive for the feed vessel
· 1 manual spring loaded pressure control valve
· Electronic pressure transmitter
· PT100 temperature sensor
· Electronic data recorder for: operating pressure, temperature, permeate flow (see option),
magnetic stirrer speed. Display as numbers or trends over time on LCD display and storage of
data. Data can be transferred by SD card or USB into PC and Excel. Can be connected via
Ethernet for remote view.
