Beam Blanking usable simultaneously with Emission Current Control – 100 microamperes 

Can be used at full energy with 100 microamperes – beam is deflected into the side of the housing, not shut off. Not available with High Current option. 

Electron Source - tested with lab power supply Beam Current: 1nA to 100µA Spot Size: 0.5 mm to 25mm focused and collimated Ta disc cathode installed [up to 1 x 10-5 torr] Beam energy, beam current, and spot size are independently adjustable. 4-pole Electrostatic Deflection: ±6 degrees at 10keV; scales larger at lower energies Above specifications are met when the Electron Source is used with Kimball Physics associated power supply. Insertion Length - (Sealing surface to end): Standard Length: 109 mm.   (with blanker option – 163mm )
