Our BUSE BJB150 and BJB250 block machines produce blocks or discs of dry ice that are mainly used in airline catering or to keep food cool during shipping.
Smart technology
Dry ice blocks are made by the expansion of cryogenically liquefied CO2 stored in an insulated CO2 storage container by injecting it into a forming chamber. The dry ice snow produced by this method is then hydraulically compressed into blocks and discs that are highly compact and robust.
Intuitive operation
Our block makers are extremely easy and safe to operate, thanks to the latest control technology. All key operating parameters are monitored and displayed on a user-friendly electronic operator panel. Users can specify the desired quantity and thickness of the blocks both before and during production. Our standard machines make blocks 100 or 200 mm long and wide. Various thicknesses between 30 and 65 mm (BJB150) or 80mm (BJB250) can be specified.
Please note that all materials that come into contact with CO2 are approved for applications in the food industry.
