Analyzer for determination of H2S gas contend in liquid phase for crude oil, heavy fuels and bitumen
The H2S Analyzer 320 is designed to analyze the H2S gas content in liquid phase for hydrocarbon
samples. Basing on the patented DyMS measurement principle, the instrument is specially designed to
operate under high temperature with heavy crudes and bitumen. The test principle is, that with a high
temperature dosing pump a specific amount of sample is injected into a high temperature solvent. Then
the gas load is stripped off by a nitrogene flow and analyzed in the gas phase. By summing up the gas
load in the gas phase, the total gas content from liquid phase can be calculated. Besides for H2S,
different sensor types can be applied.
The H2S Analyzer can be used to measure H2S content, to analyze H2S content, to test and optimize H2S
scavenger efficiency and to do risk accessment for „secondary“ H2S, i.e. H2S that may form at high
temperatures out of other sulfur components.
Beyond this, the H2S Analyzer can be used to measure additional gas components like e.g. mercaptanes
or CO2.
