A compact and powerful 1.4 Tesla permanent magnetic enclosure designed to accommodate standard 1 cm² cuvettes. Thanks to its lightweight and compact size, the relationship of the lines of magnetic force relative to the measuring beams can be reversed easily by simply turning the magnet in its base with your hands. Requires no cooling, no electricity, no water. Useful in all CD spectrophotometers and with all light absorbing molecules. That is, molecules do not have to be chiral to have MCD. Thus, with an MCD, the CD spectrometer's utility widens from studying chiral molecules to virtually every molecule.

 

Includes mu metal shielding, steel plate, magnet holder and a dummy magnet for use as a reference. Specify host CD Spectrophotometer for correct mounting hardware.
