Extending the range of a UV/Vis OLIS DSM 1000 involves the exchange of two gratings, the
detector, and the addition of a second order filter. The new grating pair will be blazed at 750
nm with 600 (or 1200) lines per millimeter, providing a useful range of 500-1125 nm. The
InGaAs detector will be configured with four 2 mm diodes, for rapid and sensitive readings
(to 1700 nm). A second order filter will be used to remove second order light which is
produced by the double grating monochromator when scanning in the NIR region. Filter
holder and filter will be provided
