A new accessory light source,comprised of LEDs which are fired with microsecond precision independently or in multiples to be used to excite fluorescence LEDs exit at a single point. The 7LEDs are mountedina daisy cluster ,which is exchanged quickly and easily for a second cluster ,thereby allowing a single LED 7 to be used with the best LEDs for the given flash photolysis or fluorescence excitation experiment .between the daisy cluster and the outlet port is an elliptical shaped mirrored surface which focuses and sends the light out the single point. The firing of the LEDs is controlled by high precision electonics and OLIS software.Price presumes wavelenght 340 nm and longer,330nm and shorter add to the price.If detectors are not shuttered during fllash illumination period, approximately 5-10 msec must be allowed after flash to allow detector recover for an accurate reading.
