Grace Instrument's Model 9200 HPHT Foam Rheometer is designed to simulate and
optimize oil production stimulation with foam related processes. It possesses the
following benefits:
1. Realistically simulate foam and fluids under down hole temperature and pressure.
2. Determining foam stability and rheology information at down hole conditions.
3. Comprehensive data collection, including power law n' and k' values for future
modeling.
4. Advance computer controlled automation package that allows precise monitoring and
control of different flow rate.
5. It provides true constant recirculation for steady measurements.
6. Shear rate range is from 0 to 1500 1/second (tested with thin fluids).
M9200 also features the following:
1. Offers Liquid CO2, CO2 Emotion, Single gas (CO2 or N2) foam or dual gas (CO2
and N2) foam testing capability.
2. Constant circulation of foam ensures uniform foam properties.
3. HPHT sapphire viewing cell ensures corrosive sample compatibility and safe
operation.
4. Visual determination of foam half life and digital measurement of bubble size
distribution.
5. Integrated heating trace ensures all lines are subjected to uniform temperature.
6. Accumulator is supplied for testing high viscosity and corrosive samples.
7. Foam images can be recorded digitally and processed digitally.
8. The system is designed to handle fluids and gases at temperatures up to 350 F,
working pressure up to 5,000 psi.
9. Can be integrated with current core flow system ( OPTIONAL ).
M9200 includes:
1 PC Twenty feet of 1/4" O.D. coiled tubing, HC-276 Hastelloy.
1 PC Accumulator HC-276 Hastelloy. 500 ml, 6,000 psi rating.
1 PC Stereo microscope for foam magnification and observation.

1 PC ISCO Model 260D Syringe Pump with controller. Max pressure 7,500 psi, Flow
rate (0.001 – 75 ml/min) for liquid sample loading. SS-316 Stainless Steel.
1 PC ISCO Model 260D Single Pump with controller for CO2 injection. Max pressure
7,500 psi, Flow rate (0.001 – 75 ml/min). SS-316 Stainless Steel.
1 PC Gas Booster to achieve high-pressure N2.
1 PC Convection oven with side viewing window for uniform coiled tube and viewing cell
heating.
1 PC Coriolis mass flow meter for density and mass flow rate measurement, HC-276
Hastelloy.
2 PCS (1 each) of rescalable DP pressure transducers. Rescalable measurement
range: 10 to 300 psi, initially set to 20 psi and 200 psi. HC-276 Hastelloy. 5,800 psi line
pressure rating. Measurement range is rescaled by HART communicator.
2 PCS Circulation pump rated at 5,000 psi and 350°F to ensure uniform foam
generation and circulation HC-276 Hastelloy.
1 PC Single point high precision 5,000 psi pressure transducer HC-276 Hastelloy.
- Unlimited custom test schedules available for repetitive tests.
1 PC M9200 software with fully integrated and automated functions such as test
sequence setup, real time charting, historic data reviewing, automatic temperature
controls of oven and heat tracing, shear rate (circulation flow rate) control, automatic
sample loading, automatic foam generation, shear rate ramps, automatic temperature
and shear rate control, with n’ and k’ math modeling, etc.
1 PC Excel spreadsheet for state equation calculation.
1 PC purge and 1 PC drain port.
