Melt Flow
MFI is the mass flow rate of a molten polymer at controlled conditions of temperature and pressure, extruded through a very precise orifice. Although not a fundamental property of the material, the MFI is one of the most widely used parameters for the quality control of polymers. All 6 series advanced melt flow systems are completely modular in design and can be upgraded at any time. A wide range of test weights, also modular is design, are available together with an extensive list of tooling and cleaning ancillaries. Cylinders, test dies and pistons are also available in Hastelloy material for corrosive polymers.
